The GR22 - Monsanto ➔ Sortelha is a stage of the Long-Distance Path of the Historic Villages of Portugal, with a route of 78.8 km connecting the villages of Monsanto, in Beira Baixa, and Sortelha, in Beira Alta, crossing the municipalities of Idanha-a-Nova, Penamacor, and Sabugal. It is considered one of the most challenging stages of the Long-Distance Path, due to its mountainous terrain and the distance to cover.
