The PER1 VDG - The Count’s Trails (Trilhos do Conde) is a waymarked trail of moderate difficulty, around 12 km long, linked to the figure of Vasco da Gama, 1st Count of Vidigueira and Vila de Frades.
The route passes several places associated with local heritage and the natural surroundings of Vidigueira, including religious sites, estates, water features and viewpoints over the landscape.
Along the route there are references such as São Rafael, São Pedro, Quinta do Carmo, the Church of São Francisco, the Clock Tower and the Municipal Museum. The natural component is also present, with a waterfall and areas offering views over the surrounding landscape.
