PR1 CNF - Caminho do Prado
In the Bestança valley, among villages, bridges, and ancient stone pavements
The PR1 CNF - Prado Path is a circular trail in the municipality of Cinfães, set in the Bestança Valley. With around 6.7 km, it passes through the localities of Vila de Muros, Covelas and Vale Verde, following a landscape marked by the Bestança River, old paved paths, bridges and rural mountain areas.
The trail allows walkers to discover some of the most characteristic elements of the Bestança Valley, where the presence of water, traditional paths and small settlements shape the landscape. The passage through the area known as Prado, which gives the trail its name, reinforces the connection between the river, the fields and the rural occupation of this territory.
Along the route, the Ponte de Covelas, the old paved paths linking villages and the banks of the Bestança River stand out. The combination of rural heritage, riverside vegetation and views over the valley makes this trail a good introduction to the natural and cultural landscape of this area of Cinfães.
Despite its short length, the Prado Path includes climbs and descents on paved and rural paths, so some care may be needed underfoot, especially on wet days.
