PR1 MDL - Trilho do Tua

The PR1 MDL - Tua River Trail follows the Tua River between the village of Frechas and the city of Mirandela, crossing a landscape marked by water, agricultural areas and riverside vegetation.

Along the route, different landscapes of the Trás-os-Montes region can be discovered, from vineyards and quince orchards near agricultural areas to olive groves, cork oaks and vegetation characteristic of the riverbanks. The trail also offers views of some sections of the former Tua Railway Line.

Between rural paths and riverside sections, the route connects the heritage of Frechas with the historic centre of Mirandela, where several architectural and cultural landmarks complete the discovery of this territory.
