This trail takes you through the green heart of Ovar, on a circular walk surrounded by pine trees, the scent of resin, and the calm typical of coastal forests. The ground is soft, covered with dry needles, and crowberries, small white fruits typical of dune areas, dominate the low vegetation.
With no steep climbs, it is accessible to walkers of all ages and perfect for a relaxed or family outing.
The pine forest of Ovar is the result of work started in 1919, driven by the need to hold back the sands pushed by the sea and wind. This intervention aimed to protect the farmland and shape the landscape we now quietly walk through.
