PR12 TBR - Trilho Moinhos de Sta. Isabel

The Trilho dos Moinhos de Santa Isabel do Monte crosses several mountain villages, including Campos Abades, Rebordochão, Seara, Ventozelo and Alecrimes, within a territory where rural settlements are closely connected to the surrounding landscape. Along the route, watermills are found distributed across flat areas and near water lines, particularly along the Ponte and Rebordochão streams. These elements appear integrated into the landscape, associated with areas where water is present. The trail also includes various structures such as granaries, threshing floors, drying areas and agricultural terraces, as well as areas where crops like maize and rye can be observed alongside traditional irrigation systems. The landscape is further complemented by oak woodlands, streams and irrigation channels, which accompany the route and contribute to its natural and visual diversity.
