PR2 - Caminhos Verdes
The PR2 - Caminhos Verdes takes place in a natural and rural setting, following the Vizela River at various points and revealing a region rich in heritage and tradition. Starting near the campsite, the route quickly enters wooded areas, where the proximity to the water creates a fresh and immersive environment.
Along the way, highlights include the Ponte do Arco, an example of Roman engineering, as well as sections of ancient stone-paved paths that reflect the area’s historical presence. The landscape alternates between riverside scenery and agricultural fields, offering a varied walking experience closely connected to the rural surroundings.
The trail passes through small settlements such as the village of Talhós, known for its traditional architecture, and areas where built heritage stands out, including manor houses and typical regional constructions. In some places, it is still possible to observe traditional crafts, such as lace-making.
Between oak groves, rural paths, and villages with strong identity, this trail combines nature, history, and local culture, offering a well-rounded experience in a peaceful and authentic setting.
