PR2 CDN - Rota do Sicó

The PR2 CDN - Rota do Sicó trail has a length of 23.5 km and follows the well-defined paths of the Serra de Sicó, connecting the ruins of the Roman city of Conímbriga - one of the most important archaeological sites in the country - to the geomonuments of the Sicó limestone massif. The trail is relatively challenging, with some steep and rocky sections. Along the way, hikers can admire the typical vegetation of the region, such as cork oak and holm oak, and observe the local fauna, including foxes and birds of prey. Additionally, the trail is marked by unique karstic formations, such as caves and sinkholes, which add a fascinating geological dimension to the hike.
