The PR2 - Port Wine Trail takes place in Samodães, in the municipality of Lamego, within the Alto Douro Wine Region, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage cultural landscape. In addition to vineyards, Mediterranean crops such as olive and almond trees are also common, reflecting the valley's hot and dry climate.
With approximately 6.9 km in length, the route follows rural paths and trails through the vineyard-covered slopes, offering wide views over the Douro valley and the cultural landscape of the region.
