PR2 MAI - Caminhos Rurais de Folgosa

The PR2 MAI - Rural Paths of Folgosa is a circular trail in the parish of Folgosa, in the municipality of Maia. Starting and ending near the Parish Council building, the route follows rural paths and agricultural areas, allowing walkers to discover some elements of the local built heritage.

Along the route, the landscape alternates between parish streets, rural areas, agricultural land and small groups of houses. The connection between the urban core of Folgosa and the surrounding agricultural landscape is one of the defining features of this trail, showing the presence of rural activity in the territory.

Among the main points of interest are the former EB1/JI School in Folgosa, the Church of São Salvador de Folgosa and Vila Paulista, the former parish residence. The route also passes through areas associated with the Coronado Agricultural Valley and by groups of houses in Figueiredo and Olheiro.
