The PR3 ACB - São Martinho do Porto, Serra e Mar trail is a small circular route located in São Martinho do Porto, Alcobaça municipality, in the district of Leiria. With an easy difficulty level (level II), this trail has a distance of 8 km and an average duration of 2h30, perfect for a pleasant and relaxing walk. During the walk, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the sea and the rugged and rocky coastline. The route starts at Praça Eng. José Frederico Ulrich and heads towards the ruins of the mills, which operated until the 1950s. The ruins are a testament to the importance of the milling industry in the region. Along the way, it is possible to appreciate the geology of the Upper Jurassic, find dinosaur footprints, and observe the fauna and flora of the region. The trail also offers stunning views of the cliffs and headlands that stretch out into the Atlantic Ocean. Other highlights include historic buildings, such as the Shelter House of the Lifesavers and the Lighthouse that aids sailor orientation. The climb up Rua Vale dos Guisos leads to a beautiful viewpoint at Miradouro do Cruzeiro.
