The Cabeço do Meio-Dia Trail crosses the Serra d'Arga along woodland paths and beside small watercourses, passing old features associated with rural life. Starting near the Chapel of Santo Antão, the route crosses different mountain environments, including wooded areas and valleys where the presence of water shaped the construction of several structures.
Watermills are a prominent feature along the route, accompanied by bridges and other structures built alongside the watercourses. The trail also passes the Wolf Hunters' Shelter, a reminder of a former practice associated with the mountain's wildlife.
The Cabeço do Meio-Dia, at around 550 metres above sea level, marks the highest part of the route and offers a panoramic view over Serra d'Arga. From here, the trail returns to woodland environments and heads towards the Ribeira da Arga, continuing among mills, bridges and watercourses.
In the final section, the route reaches the Pontão do Lobo, a prominent feature of Serra d'Arga's architectural and ethnographic heritage. The group of structures associated with the watercourses is one of the defining characteristics of this trail.
