The PR4 CDR - Lameiros Trail is a circular short-distance hiking trail located in the parish of Moura Morta, in the municipality of Castro Daire. Stretching for 9 km with a low difficulty level, this trail offers a walk filled with natural landscapes and traces of the past. The name "Lameiros" refers to the humid and lush green terraced fields characteristic of this region, which accompany part of the route. The trail starts at the square of the Moura Morta Parish Council, where a sign marks the beginning of the path. For about 1 km, the route follows the Portuguese Inland Way of St. James, crossing agricultural fields. Shortly after, the trail veers right and descends towards the Vidoeiro River, where hikers can cross the traditional stepping stones and admire an old water mill. Further ahead, the route leads to the Ponte Velha, a Roman-era bridge that reveals the region’s ancestral history. This trail is enchanting in winter and spring when the streams have a higher flow and the fields are vibrant green.
