The PR4 SPS - Goat and Wolf Route is a small circular trail located in São Pedro do Sul, Viseu. With a difficulty level considered somewhat challenging (level III), this trail challenges you along 12 km, providing an experience that lasts approximately 5 hours and 10 minutes. The starting and ending points are in Aldeia da Pena. Recommended for all seasons, it's essential to take additional precautions during the summer due to high temperatures. In periods of heavy rain, special attention should be given to crossing flooded sections and passages over watercourses. With an accumulated elevation gain of 822 m, this trail is challenging, and it is suggested to complete it clockwise for a smoother experience. This route takes you to explore three emblematic villages: Aldeia da Pena, Covas do Monte, and Covas do Rio. The trail follows rural and forest paths, with some steep ascents and descents. Along the way, you can enjoy stunning views of Ribeira da Pena and the villages you visit.
