PR4 SRP - Rota do Montado de Azinho

The PR4 SRP - Montado de Azinho Route takes place in the surroundings of Pias, offering a circular trail that crosses landscapes typical of the Alentejo region, dominated by the presence of montado. Starting near Largo de Santo António, the route initially passes through the urban area, where local heritage elements stand out, such as the 19th-century bell tower. It then quickly leads into natural areas characterized by cork oak woodlands and prominent granite formations. Along the way, the landscape alternates between forested sections, agricultural land, and traditional olive groves, reflecting the balance between nature and human activity. Highlights include the passage through Herdade de Carapinhos and other rural areas that showcase the region’s productive character.
