PR9 AGD - Trilho do Rio Águeda

The PR9 AGD - Águeda River Trail follows the course of this river between the city of Águeda and Pateira de Fermentelos, crossing a territory marked by water, agricultural fields and riverside landscapes.

Along the route, the banks of the Águeda River reveal a rich natural diversity, with riparian vegetation, different bird species and other elements that characterise this ecosystem integrated into the Natura 2000 network.

Between riverside paths and agricultural areas, the trail passes through places such as the Institute of Vine and Wine, the Espinhel Bridge and the village of Óis da Ribeira, while also allowing the discovery of Pateira de Fermentelos, one of the largest natural lagoons in the Iberian Peninsula.
