The Campo Benfeito Biodiversity Station is located within the Montemuro Natura 2000 site, in an area where agricultural fields, pastures, riparian vegetation and oak woodland form a rural mosaic characteristic of the mountain landscape. The EBIO trail is linear, short and easy, with around 1 km.
The surrounding area favours the observation of local biodiversity, combining agricultural and pastoral areas with water lines, natural hedgerows and wooded sections. It is a simple route, suitable for a short walk focused on interpreting the landscape and the habitats associated with Serra de Montemuro.
This EBIO trail is fully integrated into the PR3 CDR - Oak Trees Trail, a circular trail that passes through the Campo Benfeito Biodiversity Station.
